DCGP provides professional training on problem gambling throughout the year. The objective is to aid gambling counselors in maintaining their skills, provide non certified counselors the training they need to become certified and to provide training for those interested in learning more about problem gambling.
Our approach is based on adult training being structured around the fact that participants bring a wealth of personal and professional knowledge and skill with them. This provides them the opportunity to enhance, interpret or re-interpret knowledge that already exists.
We accomplish this by bringing in national and international trainers to provide a large diversity of topical areas, to generate interest, interaction and skill building among participants.
The training is free for all participants. The schedule and instructions for signing up for sessions follows.
