Our Mission
The mission of the Delaware Council on Gambling Problems is to raise public awareness that compulsive gambling is a treatable disorder, and to facilitate the development of a network of services for compulsive gamblers and their families in Delaware.
Accomplishment of the council's mission is carried out through a program encompassing:
- 24-hour, toll-free helpline and referral services
- Public education, information, advocacy and outreach.
- Training
- Prevention
- Research
- Treatment
The Delaware Council on Gambling Problems is gambling neutral. The organization is a private, nonprofit health agency.
The Council's funding is primarily from a contract for services with the Delaware Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health
